Robert C. StroupAttorney at LawRobert C. Stroup, a native Texan, has lived in Fort Worth, Texas since 1968. He graduated summa cum laude from Abilene Christian University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech University School of Law, and was licensed to practice law, in 1983. He has practiced law in Fort Worth, Texas ever since.
Following stints at two law firms, Robert entered the title insurance industry in 1986 where he spent ten years as a title examiner, claims attorney, and agency underwriter. In January 1996 he opened his office for the private practice of law and as a title closing office. Robert is currently a fee attorney for Alamo Title Company, closing both residential and commercial real estate transactions. Robert’s real estate practice involves representing parties in real property sale, purchase, easement, and lease transactions, document preparation for these matters, and loan document preparation for lenders. Robert also has a significant estate planning and probate practice, preparing wills, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents, as well as probating wills and estates and using other methods in lieu of probate. Robert has served as an expert witness in various real estate title and closing litigation, and has spoken at real estate seminars, meetings, and in-house training sessions for real estate agents, title company employees, and contractors. He is currently a member of the Texas Bar Association, and is also licensed to practice before the Federal District Court, Northern District of Texas. Away from the office, Robert enjoys reading, home improvement projects, traveling with his wife, Kathy, and spoiling the grandchildren. Robert’s greatest passion is his faith in Jesus Christ. Family relationships run a close second, followed by his chosen profession of helping others avoid or solve their legal problems. |
